Because yeah... dark, angsty, and passionate just like I like my couples
Seriously though Ste & Brendan are something else.... so much passion and chemistry but also angst and yes even violence. Normally I don't avocate violence and don't like it, which is strnage since I'm loving this storyline. It is a Domestic Violence abuse story but it's also sooooo much more and I think that's what grabs me about it, not to mention that Emmett J. Scanlan and Kieron Richardson are awesome actors that make you feel for their characters even when one is crazy(Brendan) and the other one is adorable with issues(Ste). Not to mention that they have chemistry up the wazzo! Yes, Brendan is dark, heavily closeted,a bit of a nutter and violent but he also has a heart under it all and a soft/ vulnerable side to him that he only shows to his sister and Stephen, the two people he loves. And seriously Ste seems to be Brendan's light even if he doesn't want to admit to anyone or even to himself how much he loves him. Maybe someday he will I just hope HO, give them a chance to be happy if only for a little while.......
Even if there is a return to the violence, I'll still root for them and keep hoping for the best LOL. But I think both Brendan and Ste need to travel down a road before they can be together properly; first Brendan needs to learn to love and accept himself or at least learn how to start. Now we have Noah thrown in the mix... maybe it will be interesting but what i've seen from Noah I don't like him and not because he's in the way of my boys :p,ok, that has something to do with it but....the actor sucks he's bland and really has no charisma, let's see if he improves once the triangle or storyline really kicks in. Because from what i've seen he hasn't impressed me at all *sigh*. We'll let's see where this go, let's just hope Hollyoaks doesn't mess this up.
