This place is really different from the worlds I've been to before. It's strange not to find any Heartless around.

I agree. Timelessness is far preferable, and those of us who subscribe to it watch the evanescent world fade away below...until only we and ours will remain.

That is true, but immortal does not mean invulnerable. Avoiding the short-term attacks is just as essential as allowing time to destroy their sources. And cutting them off before their lives naturally end is even better, if it is possible.
