This is only my third entry and it's gonna be a shocker!
I've never written a post jointly with someone else, but we have a lot to say.
Mike and I have decided that we should no longer go out. Neither I nor he would call it a breakup because there is no fighting or hard feelings involved, we just talked about our futures and God's will and our feelings and all sorts of stuff, (for about 4 hours) then we mutually decided this was the best path. We actually have never had a fight (beat that) but believe that this is God's will. We both at least tried to pray carefully and listen carefully about this relationship before getting involved and it very well may have been God's will for us to go out for as long as we have. Both of us have felt God does not want us going out anymore and that this relationship would interfere with His plans for our lives.
We're not mad at each other. You could say this is one of those rare relationships where the couple ends up being friends. We both believe that this is better for our walks with God. We also believe that we must strengthen our individual relationships with God before entering into any "dating" relationships again. We repeat nothing went wrong, we have done nothing which we regret, and we will continue to be friends (and look good together in pictures).
We know this comes as a big surprise to everyone (because everything is going so well). But God has something even better planned for each of us though we do not know what it is. Thank you for reading,
Mike & Lauren
P.S. You can keep us in your prayers, not because we're depressed but because we always like people praying for us.
