What do people usually say in response to the charge that veg-ism is elitist? I having an ongoing debate with a kid in my class about it. My response was that vegetables (although, admittedly not usually organic)are cheaper than a lot of meat. Everyone (who eats at all) makes a choice about what they eat and everyone can make at least minor

right on sister! but i do likr my vegtabables as well. especially vegtabable soup.

i agree with you, but i can sort of see why people might think it's elitist, since most foods that vegans buy is way more expensive than food filled with crap.
