Free Fallers
Just a year ago, Free Falling was the pinnacle of the Industry's research and development teams. A team of forty specialists, each one studied in the specs and trafficked information of their fields, housed in a World Trekker. These specialists crewed and manned each ship like a well oiled machine, and once at their designated planet, the Free Fallers would be activated.
Free Fallers, or known among the nature lovers as, Fallen Angels, were a group of five people from the specialist teams, trained as operations handlers to explore the surfaces of new worlds. Each Free Faller is recruited at the age of five, tracked down by the government as the best of the best, and tested for their potential to grow within the system.
After recruitment and testing, each child is treated with a series of injections to prime their immune systems for any possible interactions with foreign materials or biological contaminants on new planets. These injections take over a year to conform to the body that they are injected into, each one engineered to each specific child. Within this time, each child begins their training and education, taught by the top scientists and professors, hired on individual contracts to teach each child to their potential.
At the tender age of 6, begins the physical therapy and training, similar to that of the once renown American Navy Seals. These children are trained to operate under all circumstances and weather conditions on earth, preparing them for the next step. Before being sent to the off world station, another test is administered on the emotional strength of those who partook in the previous years of training. Those who pass are few and far in between and those who fail are sent to the finest prestigious schools and then into the early programs for the World Nation Military.
Those who passed are given surgery to implant a GPS Globe Tracker, and conversion/translator in the base of the spinal cord. Once implanted, the passers are sent to the off world station for further instruction and physical training. Within the next ten years, those who passed are given intense and brutal training and therapy, and in addition to that, are also taught as the brightest, to think on their feet in any given situation. Once graduating from this program, the brightest and tactically strongest of their peers, they are given one final operation. This operation is an addition to the initial conversion/translator. A computer sensor and hard line, connected directly to the World Trekker they are designated to, allowing them constant communication with the computer and bridge of the ship, allowing access to all documented information and tactical scenarios.
After this operation, two years of field experience within the confines of designated planets using the programing of these implants, to give them proper assimilation. Two years of experience afterward, these fine men and women are sent to unknown planets to explore and prepare for the World Nation World Assimilation Program.
