I'll let myself lie awake with you in this bed. Breathing deeply, I'll take in the outside air that has seeped in from the slightly cracked window to my right. I'll let myself stare off into the dark corner of this room, the corner by the door, while making sure I do not ever fully adjust to the light that is spilling in. I'll close my eyes and listen to you. You're so much easier to understand right now. Thank you for being here when I need you (and when I don't).
