Yunho’s always sort of thought of the band as kids. Not his kids, because, god would that be creepy, but just.. kids, inclusive of himself.
Certainly, they all sort of acted like children, played like children, liked doing childish things, and Yunho was content with the thought. He liked thinking that absolutely nothing had changed about them.
Nothing.
So when the others started working out, growing up (some more irritatingly, lovably snarky than others), Yunho, well, ‘Flipped a shit.’
No, Changmin was not supposed to be getting so chiseled and irresistibly handsome.
No, Junsu’s husky timbre should not have started sounding so sexy when he sang smooth, slow jazz.
No, Yoochun was not supposed to be writing songs that were clearly inappropriate.
And no, no, Jaejoong should not be calling any of the others (or Yunho himself) for phone sex goddamit! (Especially not when they were in the same room already)
Increasingly disconsolate and uncomfortable, Yunho was pretty much resigned to finally feeling like he was getting old what with the others not-so-childish and that big, huge FOUR after the twenty in his age.
Of course, there was nothing his surprise party couldn’t fix.
(and, well, the rampant birthday romp on the living room floor afterwards wouldn’t hurt.
… not in an unpleasant way anyways.)
