So I'm taking some law-related classes. I could get a bachelor's or a master's in pretty much the same thing. Obviously, it's better to get a master's if you already have your bachelor's. But going for the master's would require me to be away from my job for six hours a week for the first semester (one year from now), b/c you have to take two classes and the classes are only during the day. If you're like me and you really hate even calling in sick and you hate asking for favors, you're not too cool with that.
But I was talking with my boss about this yesterday, and she was so awesome telling me to look into it, that I was left with the impression that she would be more than willing to do whatever necessary to help me do this.
Talked to the other boss today... same kinda thing.
I really don't get why people like me so much and seem willing to bend rules for me*. but I told myself, it's really NOT more of a virtue to pass up an opportunity than it is to take it.
*actually, yesterday I finally did get it a little bit, because I was thinking they must see me the way I see the people I'll bend rules for.
