***UPDATE*** about my friends death.
For those who care or wonder...
Well, apparently on Tuesday, Terry had an altercation with some
guy who was driving a 4-wheeler very fast up and down the road.
Terry was very protective of his daughter, and there were also
children living across the road from them.
This guy comes back with his buddy, and they have a 22 rifle.
They enter Terry's home and shoot him in the head.
They shoot his daughter also.
They set the house on fire, to cover up the shootings.
One of the guys (who had been in trouble with the law before)
is found dead from an apparent suicide on Saturday, on a levee
less than a half-mile from the original crime scene.
He had been reported missing on Thursday, by his brother.
The other guy was arrested on Friday, and is cooperating with
authorities.
It's all very fucked up and heartbreaking.
Terry's mom, Dot, said that at least she could be proud of
him for trying to protect his daughter.
We spent quite a while at her house after the funeral today.
I hope it helped her in some way, to talk with us.
Our families have known each other since before I was born.
They also have a son named Jamie.
We are only about 6 months apart in age.
I guess that's all I have to say.
