I am so proud of you.

No, seriously!

You shared porn with the world, and it's GOOD porn and it's great meta and it's funny as HELL OMFG.

Well fucking done.

Omg, Kita, I can't believe you read this! Thanks a bunch; I feel really flattered.

This is what I meant about being anonymous. I can finally face how dirty I am. Anonymously.

Thanks again!

Of course I read it! How could I resist that header?? And it's you, so of course I knew it had to be good. Face up to the dirty. Dude, compared to more than half of fandom, you're pretty freakin' vanilla. Srsly. Own your kink! OWN YOUR KINK. <3

heeeeeeeeee. You're a sweetheart.

Well, vanilla. Definitely more vanilla than some. I don't even like hardcore bdsm. But I did write Captain Kirk/his mom incest anonymously, and for some reason I feel like my dirty talk is...dirtier than other talk.

Some people. They just don't use the word CUNT nearly enough to satisfy me.

(Though I must say, I particularly prefer it if boys get called cunts. PARTICULARLY IF IT'S THEIR FATHER DOING IT.

=vanilla, def., by some fandom standards ;o)

I loved this so much! Both porn and meta, and maybe even loved meta a little bit more. But you did go into the whole 'is sexual submission sexist', and, well, that's one of those things I get flaily and babble about a lot.

And I loved Uhura in this. Uhura is always awesome, but here she was even more so.

Also, I've just realised that I apparently mostly read Kirk/Spock when one of them has their gender switched. Huh. :D

Thanks!

I've never actually been into genderswitch before ST. Dunno why not, or what it was about ST that makes me go "we need this!" Maybe it's the extreme lack of girls?

One thing I love about Uhura is she maintains utter strength and dignity when she is always the odd--uh--man out in this whole big men's club. Of course the reason for that on TOS was they were maintaining there was this equality in the future when the 60s hadn't yet achieved it. She pretty much gave off this whole aura of noli me tangere badassitude.

Awesome fic. I love good porn... and good porn that makes you think? Damn, that's hot.

Dunno why not, or what it was about ST that makes me go "we need this!" Maybe it's the extreme lack of girls?

Maybe because its canon for TOS - Turnabout Intruder. ST: always going boldly. Gotta love it. *wink*

And yeah, Uhura ftw.

Thanks so so much!

Well, Turnabout is more bodyswitch, isn't it, which I've always loved (whether it's m to m, f to m, f to f bodyswitch). I guess I think about genderswitch differently--not sure why!

I LOVE UR ICON. Yeah, that scene. The guy who wrote it says he totally did it on purpose.

Thanks again!

Thanks so much! I didn't intentionally write humor in there, so I'm flattered you found it funny.

So often with genderflip, it's done for cheap laughs or because the author wants to ship two male characters but doesn't like slash, or whatever. You did an excellent job of making the genderflip matter. I liked the way you talked about women and sexuality and different standards and sexism and the fact that being privileged (in this case, male) blinds you to the realities faced by those not sharing that privilege, even if the privileged person is genuinely unprejudiced, or trying to be. And you showed how it's not all cut and dried, same-for-everyone, simple. And the sex scenes weren't just thrown in for the sake of having a sex scene, they were integral to the development of both your theme and the plot. Well done!

Thanks!

wants to ship two male characters but doesn't like slash, or whatever.

WHAT? That's sort of appalling! I never was into genderswitch before ST. Not sure why not, or what about ST got me into it--probably the extreme lack of women.

I'm glad you found the sex scenes integral. I just wrote a lot of porn, then decided I was--er--fascinated by some of the issues my own lizard brain exhibited in said porn, so I wrote the meta and tried to marry the two. Glad it worked for you, and thanks again!

I like genderflip because I like exploring gender issues, so I tend to seek it out in fandoms I'm in. Alas, there is a whole lot of the 'ships two male characters but doesn't like slash' out there. One of the characters gets genderflipped through some magic spell or alien artifact, and they realize they're in luuuuurve with their best friend, and they can't fix it and they live happily ever after! Now, I'm not generally a slash fan myself, but the complete disregard for the massive gender identity issues involved is simply made of FAIL.

Wow, yeah, that's awful! I love slash. I love het. I love femslash. Maybe that's why I've never felt compelled to genderswitch? I like everyone the sex they are. But I think exploring gender identity is important, so I dunno. This seems like the perfect concept in which to perform said exploration, and it's sad to hear that that's not how people use it.

Oh, holy shit. This is smolderingly hot! There's something so awesome about seeing Spock's crisp composure broken open (just a little, just enough to feel genuine), whether he's a boy or a girl. And I have a terrific love for genderswap, so that and the delicate balance between Spock's white-knuckled wantonness and Kirk's delicious out-of-your-mind-with-it filthiness was just wonderful. Great job! ^___^ <333

Thanks for the heads up on the italics tag! Usually I review everything I post but I was just so nervous with this I couldn't stand to.

I'm so glad you liked this. And Kirk's filthiness; that was fun. And embarrassing. Thanks so much.
