I agree with your comments, but I still think it's cute. And the currency should indeed be something other than clothes--something Lizzy would value.
It'd be cool if you could play Lydia, instead. Or if your character was determined by what choices you made early in the game.
As to the name thing, that is a mistake I think I could easily make, and probably have made. Because I do not remember things like spellings. I don't have a picture of what it looked like in the book, despite having read it multiple times; most of the time when I see the name is it spelled "Lizzie," and if I was dashing off a comment or something I'd probably misspell it. Which doesn't excuse me, but it's an explanation.
I am a bad speller. But I guess for me the spelling of a name makes a difference in how I think of the name, like Anne with an e. I've known people who I knew read the book who have spelled it "ie". It just irks me for some reason. I wonder if there are any versions of the book with that spelling.
I listened to Kate Bush saying she was Cathy today.

Oh, I totally agree, and I'm not trying to argue you're wrong; except for the part where I'm sure I've spelled it wrong, too, due to distance from the book or something and the prevalence of "-ie"'s. I think it totally makes a difference, and Erik and Eric are totally different people. I just understand the mistake or am defensive.
...I've seen you spell it "ie", but obviously you understand my comment wasn't aimed at you; it's just a general pet peeve of mine that is more my problem than yours. But I should have thought of that before I said it; I'm sorry to make you feel defensive. Pretty much I think everything you do is golden :o)
Sorry I left them out!
Hope practice went well last night. I really want to get some writing done tonight.
LOL. I didn't feel personally defensive, as in, I did not feel attacked by you. I feel you are right, and I felt disingenuous not owning up to it, while making my explanation. Lizzy would be well-justified in being peeved at me, as well, just as I would if someone called me "Chris" (though oddly, despite one being unequivocally Right, it doesn't make me angry). So I didn't feel defensive in that negative way, but I am aware that my explanation had the whiff of it.
Yeah, I was googlin' the other day just to make sure there aren't actually any versions with "ie", and I saw that all the links about the '95 version said "ie". There are more google hits for Lizzie Bennet than Lizzy Bennet. It's funny because I can never actually remember how to spell Bennet, whether it's two t's or one.
I didn't really think you were actually hurt or anything. I just meant, I wouldn't want anyone to feel they had to defend themselves because my comment was equivalent to shouting and waving my arms at the world, not someone in particular.
I didn't think you meant I should put the cds away either, I just realized I hadn't put them away.

We should play that Wuthering Height game, y/y?

Oh heavens.
Also, I did not mean you should have put cds away. I was just happy to see them.

My God we are so polite; it's sickening!

But I understand we understand each other.
Mr. Bennet feels oppressed by your Bennetts.
Also I am pretty sure I like Lizzie better than Lizzy, but that doesn't make it right.
