Hmm... as far as most of those "characters" questions, I really don't know, and I think it's equally possible that the show didn't explain them as it is that the show did explain and I've forgotten.

As far as those that are opinion:

Am I the only one who liked Willow's white hair in "Chosen"? I didn't really, but uh, Kennedy did!

Am I the only one who liked Eve (as a character)? No, I've definitely heard of some people who do!

Does Illyria pee? Does she have to take off that whole suit every time she does it? Is there a zipper? Have you ever gone skiing? You have to wear about 20 complicated layers and needing to pee once you've got that on is awful. Sorry, that's a little off-topic, but I'm trying to sympathize. I don't know, did we ever see her eat or drink? She'd probably have to if she does.

Why don’t some people like Principal Wood? Why don't you like Joyce, huh? Huh?

How old was Connor supposed to be? Wasn't he old enough to shave? How did he shave in a hell dimension? Do we need to bring up the question again of how Angelus grew a moustache that one time yet Angel didn't need a haircut or a shave after a summer under the ocean?

Icons: Teh pretty.

Actors:
I've heard that JM based his accent on ASH's real accent.

Other shows:
I never watched Bones beyond the pilot either, and won't be watching Smallville for JM either. I know I can count on LJ people to post pictures when they take off their shirt or something.

CC and AH are both sometimes on Veronica Mars. Uh, Amy Acker was on Supernatural? Mixing up your A actors or hearing mixed things?

I saw the pilot of NB's kitchen show, which was funny but not enough for me to remember to watch it ever again.

Veronica Mars is a high school detective show, and has CC and AH on it sometimes (as one male character's lover and sister, respectively). I started watching it in reruns this summer just because so many LJers seemed to be talking about it. I really enjoy it, but a lot of people who were fans last year seem to be disappointed with most of this season so far. It's on UPN, so I am really surprised that so many people watch it... (I'm too lazy to actually write a 30 second VM recap, but I'm counting on all the other fans on your flist to step up)

I've never seen Lost, and I'm not sure how embarassed I should be for not knowing who Jack Bauer is...

Happy unHalloween back! It was a really pretty day here, after a freak snow fall over the weekend...

Why don't you like Joyce, huh? Huh?

Because she only ever cared about herself. How dare she call her daughter a burden? Because she kicked Buffy out and then bitched her out for it when Buffy came back. Because she was not a good mother, while I got the impression that the writers, etc, expected us to sympathize with her. Because the other characters written around her were supposed to like her, love her, or respect her, and I saw nothing to like or love or respect. Because the actress who played her was bad. Because the few times the writers wrote her being a good mom even a great actress like SMG couldn't work up a decent chemistry because KS was just so freakin' bad. Because she didn't die earlier. Because her name is Joyce and that's my name and that pisses me off.

Plus, she had kinda buggy eyes.

Hey! You asked.

Mixing up your A actors or hearing mixed things?

I think I was just mixing up what I heard. I never watch TV, except of DVD. I have trouble keeping track of which is show is which that people are talking about.

I'm not sure how embarassed I should be for not knowing who Jack Bauer is...

Not embarrassed at all. Non-tv watching girl here, you know?

Anyway, Bauer is the main character in "24", played by Keifer Sutherland. I just recently started watching it because a2zmom said it was fun and one of the people who introduced me to BtVS and AtS told me to watch it and lent me S1. It's not Buffy or anything, but it's decent enough, and really ropes you in with cliff-hangers and stuff. And omg I want to fuck Jack.

Snow???? That's crazy! I hope it was fun, and not, you know, a pain.

Ha, yes, I guess I did ask for that one. But anyway, my point was that everyone has their characters they don't like. Some people don't like Buffy. Some people don't like Angel! People have weird tastes.

I'm really impressed that you don't watch tv. Really. Although, VM season one is on DVD now, if you felt so inclined to give it a try. And I see that no one else has really given you the low down on what it's about and what's good about it, but someone mentioning that Joss liked it reminded me of a review that he wrote about it, which pretty much sums up the good. He's a big fan.

24! Ok. I have actually watched a couple episodes of that, but that was a couple years ago, and I'd forgotten the character's name. I had a roomate who was already a fan and she made me watch it with her, but after a few eps of that season, she decided that it wasn't as good as it used to be and we never watched again. Now, though, I'm hearing more people say how awesome it is, and I'm tempted to give it another shot.

Yes! Snow! Just on Saturday, and then by Sunday it was gone and it's been in the 60s ever since. That's New England for ya.

I know, but I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to Joyce-bash. :o) Also, I know the reasons I hate Joyce. I don't really see reasons for people to hate Wood, and there seems to be a large contingent of them. Also, there's often a hive mind behind why a certain group of people will hate a character, and I wanted in on the collective reasoning.

I'm really impressed that you don't watch tv. Really.

Don't be. I don't not watch it on principle. Also, I waste my time and kill my brain with other things. Also, I watch so many DVDs it's ridiculous.

Thanks for the link to the review. I hated reading it because it made me want to watch VM and I just can't get hooked on anything else right now. Although the central premise doesn't really interest me. Then again, neither did BtVS's.

Now, though, I'm hearing more people say how awesome it is, and I'm tempted to give it another shot.

I love Jack Bauer. Apart from that, the other things I like about it tend to fluctuate and are grossly uneven. I'm going to do a post about what I think about it, but there will be massive spoilers.

Usually, I'd trade weather with you, but it's so gorgeous here right now. But. . . snow!
