Ohhh, I really like this! (I was pretty sure I would.)

I am always after people to write post-series Buffy&Faith, because I think that they can relate to each other in ways no one else can relate to them. I really loved all the small awkward moments between them here; they're both such strong personalities and have such history, and friendship doesn't always come easy.

This, basically:
Buffy and Faith had finally learned what came intuitively to neither of them: friendship, between people who had hurt each other deeply.

And then this:
“You don’t earn forgiveness,” said Buffy. “It’s something that’s given.”

Yes. This.

And then all the in-jokes - “Nothing that happens in the comics is for real.” JOSS WHEDON. We must be a very sheltered bunch in Buffydom, because of course this kind of silliness is canon over in SPN, but still I have never seen that trick pulled before.

And the Dawn-Xander geekiness! I was so proud of myself, I followed almost all of the references! Even the Magic the Gathering one! (I had to look up Warren Worthington.)

And then Faith, and the wings, and the redemption she's still fighting for (even when Buffy keeps trying to hand it to her). Yes.

This was lovely, and I loved it.
