Del sees him waiting for her, and sends Edward on. "Wait for me in my labs? You can have the couch again, if you're tired. I'll just be a few minutes."

He nods and shuffles off in the direction of the lab, very much his usual squished self again, radically different to how he'd appeared earlier. He opens the door and disapears behind it.
