This quite possibly the greatest idea that I've ever had, so pay attention. I'm sure I'll become overwhelmed and tell Steve of this before you read this but here it goes:
I have a new job. I make 10 dollars an hour and work 50-60 hours a week. It's fairly easy work. The company I'm working for is looking for someone to work full time through November doing exactly what I am doing now.
So I thought, perhaps, you (Pat) could take the job, I could drive you to work every day and home in exchange gas money and a pack of cigarettes here and there. You could make enough money to make rent and maybe save a little toward a car. It just so happens that I'm selling mine at the end of the summer. So once you've saved maybe $500 or so, it's your's. It's not much of a looker but it only has about 85,000 miles and runs like a champ.
Reasons this is a good idea:
- You'd be making good money and getting all of the hours you could ever hope for.
- When I leave for school you could continue working through november and have a car.
- The people are very cool and they're all rednecks.
- It's only about 2 miles out of my way so I won't really mind.
- You would have 4 months to find a job for the winter, then next spring you would start working again.
- (10 x 40) = 400 + (15 x 20) = 700 per week x 4 weeks = 2,800 x 4 months = 11,200
