I feel like I have so much to say about January 20th and everything that happened, but it is hard to get started on it. I feel pretty lucky that I wasn't harmed all day, even though it was just narrowly avoided a few times. Seeing a lot of my friends eyes burning and leaking from the robocops supersoaker pepper sprayers was so scary. The street medics were doing an incredible job of getting to everyone really quickly and helping, though. All of the arrests and brutal shit that cops were doing is fucking ridiculous and scary, but most everybody I know is OK now. I feel great and honestly changed in having participated in what I did, finally. Being around who I was all day was really inspiring. I don't really know what to say about everything. Being inside of a sea of passionate kids felt amazing, I am anxious for another opportunity to experience something like this again. Danny and I didn't participate in the march after the show, but we returned to the city around 4am to locate friends+roomates and bring them home.. and we failed at that because of lack of contact and lack of being able to get through to the legal line. Driving with the rest of DC morning traffic we returned to Mason around 6am. Carni wrote about it really well in his journal, and since I am clearly doing the day no justice here, so please read that instead.

These are pictures from my amazing trip with MMMPOLAR the other week or whenever it was.
I took those polaroids, Adam Polar took these pictures.
[Sorry there are so many and most of them are HUGE.. and then some are MINI.]
Most of those photos are from Raleigh. That is where the bulk of the trip was, and it was great. Andrea and Lindsey hosted a crapload of kids for 2 nights. Both nights shit rolled on until 530-6am. Andrea+Kater+RyanStack+Mike talk was the most fun ever, shit. I love belly aches from laughing too much. I wish I could have spent some more time with a few people who live there, so hopefully next trip I'll be able to. Lynchburg was fun.. weird, too. I dunno. I've grown so far out of that city it is hard to be back. Kyle and I got there pretty early and spent a lot of time with Daniel, and then a group of us went to dinner and it was good to spend some time with those that I did... it has been too long. I'm looking at you Steve. Richmond was kind of a bust, but I did get to see Charlotte, Dave, Lee, and meet a super nice dude named Brian. Cinema Eye and Aqui dropped off that show, so it was just MMM and An Albatross. There were these 2 bro dude hatebreedy type moshers and they kind of ruined An Albatross for me, but whatever. Richmond was also a bust because I didn't get to see Mike, but what can I do anymore? Yeah so that was my trip and I really liked it. Adam and Tara are both amazing people and I'm really looking forward to spending more time wit them. Those straight few days of some of the best people I know really did me, and our frienships good.
The night after the trip there was a show at Welch's house in MD. It was kind of weird. But also good. I really like An Alarm. Brian and RJ are awesome, I want to get to know the rest. The show at Mawonaj fucking ruled the next night. Spoonboy played some songs and they were really good. Los Gatos Negros were a shitload of fun to watch, I want it again. Kathy Cashel was kind of boring to watch, but I'd probably like it if I just sat around and it was playing. Defiance Ohio were pretty good, I'm not that heavy into them/their recording, but I do enjoy watching them play. Ghost Mice was my highlight. They played in the middle of the room so they were completely surrounded with people and it was so much fun. I stood with Ash and danced and sang and I could hear Kyle behind me during Figure 8 going nuts. I wish they'd have played longer because I was so pumped, but whatever... it was fucking awesome. As for the show on the 20th, it was also good. Del Cielo are better each time I see them. 1905 killed shit it was so good. And, I danced myself in half during Q & Not U, but it definitely was not the best I have seen them. I truly had a bangover after that many nights of shows. Phew.
I crapped on and on about not having snow all winter, and now it is ALL here in Funfax. Finally. I love it! A little unfortunate that it came the day of the show at AU, but that'll be rescheduled soon enough. SNOW SNOW SNOW.
No job yet. Shit is getting pretty thin.. I'm thinking either Whole Foods (with every person I know), or INTERPUNK (since it is really close)! Hahahaha, we'll see.
Go check out Finding Neverland. I'm a cheeseball and I liked it a lot.
