Neo Genesis, why all the sad faces?

Everyday, I feel that in one more second everything could end. In a heart beat some crazy fool could come along and shoot you in the head. At any given moment, your house could go up in flames; any day you could be mauled by a tiger or stepped on by an elephant. [ small laughter ] We'll blame the Hatter for those two.
It is this that really brightens my day when I'm feeling a little down.
Oh, [ lip smack ] while I'm on this topic, I might as well share a humorous story and maybe get you saps smiling some.
An elderly man, while he and his wife watched his favorite TV sitcom, The Goodies died laughing. Mitchell, was his name, Mitchell found a sketch called "Kung Fu Kapers" so hilarious that he laughed for twenty-five minutes straight --- until his heart gave out and he died.
Here's the kicker, his wife sent the show a letter thanking the producers and performers for making her husband's last moments so enjoyable.
[ wild laughter erupts for a few seconds and stops abruptly as he continues ]

You failed to kill the convict. Instead, you chose to kill the innocent. Than, your police, impressive as always, killed the one who killed the innocent. How does that make you feel, Neo Genesis? Smiling yet?
