[Jim is waking up, finally. He'd gone up as the night wore on, and was laying out on a ledge just wide enough to hold him, and a good distance off the ground. He lifts his head groggily and starts to roll over before realizing where he is and clutching back on the wall.]
So. Not a dream. Good to know.

Is there somebody up there that's not going to try and eat me?
Reply
I'm not gonna eat anybody. Just woke up, sorry.
Reply
Oh thank goodness. I hope I didn't startle you. Did you sleep up there?
Reply
Yeah. Seemed like a safe place.
[He looks her over. Well, at least he can see her face-- None of them had taken the masks off last night, for whatever reason.]

My name is Trucy Wright, Magician Extraordinaire, what's yours?
[He seems nice enough. She does a little twirl with her introduction.]
Reply
Do you know what's going on here?
Reply
Just that things out there want to eat us and that we all wore masks last night and that everyone just seemed to wake up here.
[It sounded matter of fact, but Trucy still shuddered at the thought of that... thing.]
Reply
[He stretches, and looks around.]
I don't see any sign of 'em now. I wonder if they're nocturnal or just hiding.
Reply
I hope they're nocturnal. In fact, I hope last night was the last night we see those things. I... don't particularly like fearing for my life, especially in such a foreign and forlorn place as this.
[Trucy sighs and kicks at the ground.]
So Jim, you ever seen a place like this?
Reply
[He pauses, awkwardly.]
Not like this, no.
Reply
[She really believes that with all her heart, because if she stops, she'll lose all hope.]
Well... neither have I and it's most strange since it seems to have shrunk overnight... Did you notice this as well Jim?
[She looks around again.]
Reply
[He can understand that. Hope's an important thing to have.]
Yeah. It's a hell of a lot smaller.
[He's pretty sure there's something stranger and more sinister going on here than a few hungry monsters.]
Reply
Well... did you want to go looking for one, and maybe some food? I bet you haven't eaten anything yet.
Reply
[Jim hadn't realized he was hungry, but if he wanted to keep going, he needed to eat while whatever supplies were here still existed.]
Water's most important.

There wasn't anything resembling a store with food down that way. I was hoping to find something down this way. We'll probably have to break into wherever we find, since it seems like almost all the doors are locked. I also found this pipe, so maybe we could break something with it?
[Trucy picks up the pipe laying at her feet that she set down before she had seen Jim.]

Let's start checkin' down this street. If we don't find anything, we'll come up with another plan.
