Well, yesterday was fun.
Vaccinations. We got one in both arms, so that really helped my double period of dance. The right arm has stopped hurting now, but the left arm is really sore (the left being the one I write with :D) so hooray, just in time for the long weekend!
Then, this morning, at about 5:30, Mum wakes me up, and she's crying, saying she thinks the dog's had a stroke. I go out into the garden, and the dog's stumbling around, with his neck all crooked. So Mum tries to calm him down, and tells me to fetch a wheelbarrow. Our dog is v. fat and it was the only way to get him in the house >_<. So we have to haul him into the wheelbarrow, and my arm is really starting to hurt. We call the vet, and by this time, he dog is freaked the fuck out, and is panting like mad, and Mum's terrified, she think's he's gonna have to be put down. Anyway, the emergency number didn't get through the first time (wtf?) but then it does, and the vet gets here, and he says that the dog has possibly had a stroke, and probably has some sort of syndrome where he can't balance, and he has to learn how to adapt, but is ok, and won't need putting down. Mum stays with the dog, and I go back to bed. Later on this morning, I wake up, and Mum's talking to some guy she works with, who is in our house for some reason. I turn around, and the dog is absolutely fine, walking normally etc. I'm like, 'Mum... why is the dog okay?' So yeah, he had like... doggy vertigo. The vet gave him a Cortizone (?) injection, and it's fine now. He has tablets he has to take, but he's alive and well.
So we've put Port Fairy off until tomorrow morning. I'm just glad we're going at all, I didn't think we would with the dog and all.
Also, my watch has stopped :(
