Stats:
I have posted (made about 15!) 9 podfics this year! Or, since September, which woah. Go me!
The total length was 07:14:39!
This is an average of 48 minutes per podfic!
8 of these were in bandom, and one was in Doctor Who!
What was the best podfic you made this year?
The best? I am proud of everything I did, but I am very proud of how quickly I got through I Have Been All Things Unholy. I didn't think I'd been able to do that. I also liked Meet in The After Awhile. I've recorded that one three times, twice with a crappy set-up and once with a proper one. Up The Line is still one of my favourite stories so to be able to do something from that universe makes me happy.
Most popular?
I Have Been All Things Unholy, thankfully. Of course, I am happy with any response to my work but I was really hoping for a good response to this one in particular and it did! I had 17 comments, and as of now, 303 downloads. LJ doesn't do page counts, unfortunately.
Most under appreciated?
I'm pretty happy with all of them, except Missed Your Skin While You Were East. That is still one of my favourite stories, but I do know why it didn't get such a good response, mainly as it is part of a series where it is very advisable to read the other parts first (one is already podficced but part 2 hasn't been one, and I did part 3.)
Personal favorite, for whatever reason?
I Have Been All Things Unholy, for obvious reasons \o/
Most difficult to make?
Despite the rush, IHBATU was easy. I flew through it. As still as of yet, unposted Glee podfic called Ash is killing me. It was one of my first podfics, and it was great and I was proud of it as I went to hit save. Audicity crashed. I have tried everything to get it back, but I am only left with the raw files. I can't stand to look at it anymore!
Most "ah ha ha I can't believe I'm doing this"?
IHBATU - "why am I even trying to get this done in a MONTH I am mental."
Most fun to make?
CJ Cregg Never Had This Problem was so much fun!
Was there one that didn't turn out the way you wanted?
Yeah, a Glee one that I haven't posted. I forget it's name now, but I was really excited for making it, but my speech patterns didn't fit it. I tried anyway, but listening back I just sounded stilted and awkward so I left it.
Biggest learning experience?
Meet in the After Awhile. It wasn't my first podfic posted, but it was recorded. I learned a lot about recording, such as visual marks like claps to help with the rough edit.
What's next? Do you have any podfic goals for next year?
I have Heaven's Not About Our Reputation half recorded, so I'm excited for that. I might make it my podfic big bang, but I am unsure I can stick to the deadlines given out in such challenges. 2012 is important exam year for me, and I have resolved to spend less time online. :| Let's see how that works out, shall we?
