Splendour was so great. Great is the biggest understatement in the world, it was.. fantastic, amazing, exciting and fulfilling. It was my first Splendour. The festival was like a dream.
Yes, i will have to discuss it in detail, just not tonight. I'm going to have to decorate it with photos and phrases and activity/press sheets and the rest of it. I'm tired tonight though, as i've just returned to my humble abode from employment duties.. heh. lame - oh?
Splendour was...
+ a dancing marathon
++ surprises popping up everywhere
+++ wonderful opportunity to spend time with friends
++++ it was cold, it was warm, it was... sitting on the beach at midnight staring at the lighthouse.
+++++ The line up couldnt have been better, well maybe if pixies/thee shins/kings of leon played. BUT i am not about to complain - i got to see Ryan Adams, and i got to see Interpol with Jai and Trent - which happened to be the highlight of the festival - we danced like idiots - were drenched by security handing out plastic cups of water - i blame trent.
++++++ We cooked disgusting breakfasts, detroyed gas stoves, ate chips, had cold showers ( byron bay tourist park has no HOT water!!!), got sick/recovered from being sick, missed vegetables, made friends/ met up with friends etc etc, drank and smoked...
Us minus me
Star Lanterns scattered everywhere..
Interpol Mosh....
So drenched
So happy
Sarah Blasko and Company
Ryan Adams
Chandeliers, blue lights and lots of crowds..
Last morning at camp site, Byron..
There's always next year..
