Feeling Nostalgic
I didnt even know if LJ still existed! I came over here to check it out and was reading my old posts. Its really interesting to read those as if someone else wrote all that because Ive changed so much. Some for better and some for worse. My last post was just after announcing my egagement to Mr Timothy Gibson. Not much longer after that we moved home from Columbus. For many reasons, neither of us were happy. It was hard enough living on our own (away from parents) and learning to live together, and being so far away from everything we'd ever known. I can say now, living together is just as hard, but were still learning and we can appreciate more of each other.
We were married Saturday May 31,2008 in the church we learned to love each other. We had an amazing group of friends and family to celebrate with and a week long honeymoon in Orlando Florida. We visited the parks, had a few romantic dinners and frequented the hot tub.
We've spent the past 2 1/2 years finding out who we are. Weve gone through many struggles in the short time of our marriage. Weve certainly been tested. We come out stronger after every trial.
Currently I am in dental school, to become an assistant. Tim is working (very hard) for our successes. He has two jobs and works 2:30A-3:30P we havent been seeing much of each other but we are stable knowing this is only temporary. I will graduate November 20 and once I have a full time job he can rest and work only one job. He will be going to school after the new year. At this point we are both unsure of what path he would like to take.
I cant believe were planning for the next year already, however Im optimistic it will be renewing for us. Im ready for a fresh start and some new found independence.
