During another long day at work I got my check for the past three weeks. Over a soggy, yet delicious chicken salad sandwich from the corner bakery I noticed that this check pushed me over three thousand dollars for the year. I was shocked, I was amazed, where has all that money gone? Anyway, that's how I deal with money: I spend it, so I went to the bank to cash that bad boy. First off, I decided to check on my current balance. Lo and behold, I had somehow dwindled my account to a mere three cents. That's right I had three pennies to my name while I thought that I had at least forty bucks. Nope. I always hear "Where does all your money go?" "How can you possibly spend that much money?" Now, even I am interested.
Money is always a delicate subject for people, but I have never understood that. Money is everywhere in society, and it is so casual an object that it is not given a second thought until it isn't there when you need it. So for myself and a dwindling Livejournal audience, I will examine just where my money goes (therefore I don't really expect anyone to keep up with this, as it won't really fascinate). But regardless, here it goes:
I now have in my pocket a crisp $20 bill and $.66. I added $324.68 to my $.03 to have a grand total of $345.37. After recognizing my horrifying spending patterns, I gave the car exactly $6.21 worth of unleaded until I can get the cheap gas at Costco tomorrow, which brings my total of the day to $339.16.
