Clue The color of each characters car is the same color as their playing piece in the game. [I have to point out that I first said this maybe 10 years ago, and no one I've ever told or discussed the movie with has realised this]
Love Actually Rowan Atkinson's character was initially supposed to be an angel and disappear as he walked away from Liam Neeson's character in the airport scene.
12 Angry Men With the death of Jack Warden (Juror #7) on July 19, 2006, Jack Klugman (Juror #5) is the only one of the twelve stars of 12 Angry Men (1957) who is still alive.
Back to the Future In the opening scene of the movie, as the camera pans across the clocks, one clock in the foreground has a small figure of Doc Brown hanging from the minute hand - a foreshadowing of the story's climax, where the Doc clings to the face of the clock tower while trying to reconnect the cable.
Pleasantville When Jennifer enters Pleasantville, she becomes a character named Mary-Sue. "Mary-Sue" is a term that originated in fan fiction to describe a character who comes into the character's lives and completely solves all of their problems. It is also a fan-fiction term for when the author (usually female) inserts herself (as a character) into the story. [This isn't really trivia, but seeing it listed tickled me!]
Clueless Alicia Silverstone did not know how to correctly pronounce "Haitians" in the classroom scene. Amy Heckerling told the crew not to correct her because she liked it so much and wanted it to be in the film.
Return to Oz The film received a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records as the sequel that was made the longest period of time after the original (Return to Oz was released 46 years after The Wizard of Oz).
Radioland Murders George Lucas has stated that the two main characters, Roger and Penny Henderson, are actually the parents of Richard Dreyfuss's character from Lucas' American Graffiti (1973); making this film a bit of a semi-prequel.
Muppets Take Manhattan The scene where Kermit graduates from college was filmed at Vassar College in New York. The director wanted it shot in front of the most academic looking building on the campus: the dining hall. [I first learned this when I visited Vassar! On the tour we came to this dining hall & the girl asked if anyone was familiar with this movie - I was the only one who was - and as soon as she said it I looked at the building again & my mouth dropped]
Murder on the Orient Express An 84-year-old Agatha Christie attended the movie premiere in November of 1974. It was the only film adaptation in her lifetime that she was completely satisfied with. In particular, she felt that Albert Finney's performance came closest to her idea of Poirot. She died fourteen months later, on January 12, 1976
