I would like to thank the state of Virginia for a wonderful evening
i was planning to write an upbeat journal entry about my the happenings of my day when i got home from the Patriot Center, but much to my surprise, it took me 2 HOURS to get home and almost a HALF TANK of gas. THEY SHUT DOWN THE BELTWAY. They. Shut. DOWN. The Beltway.
1. Im not sure thats even legal.
2. If youre gonna pull that, at least tell me about it VA.
So, because of this, they sent all of us on this crazy detour and i got lost for about an hour driving all the way to Prince Williams County. I passed the exit for Franconia 3 Francin times on three different roads. i almost crashed into a dividing wall and was almost crushed by a hummer. it was ridiculous. Also, im out of gas. and driving to the Pat Center we had to load up the cotton candy into our cars. so i couldnt see out my rear view and i couldnt check my blind spots. changing lanes was scaaaaary.
my car is my terri schiavo and her feeding tube is my LOVE. only, no matter how much she wants to go, i will never EVER let her.

So before VA mishaps i was at opening day of six flags. kind of sad because i could feel that my summer was already gone and it hasnt even started yet. also, i got sunburnt. at first it didnt seem too bad. but as the night went on, the worse it hurt. now im lathering on the lotion. oh well. Freckle City here i come! with possible detour at Cancer Town, USA.
on to Christian "Rock" Concert at Pat Center. it was iiiiinteresting. such a wide variety of people there.
-the dads who clearly have no interest in this music but their kids convinced them to bring them because it was WHOLESOME!
-the grandmas who have absolutely no idea what the heck is going on, but are clappin their hands anyway because its supporting Jesus.
-the really into it girls. (my favorites) there were two or three of them in each section. they never sat down and they would hold their heads up and close their eyes and hold their hands close to their chest and sing along. one girl was doing hand motions with the song. some looked like they might be crying.
-the hands up to the heavens people. they would stand up and just reach their hands up to the sky with their eyes closed. it always looked awkward cuz everyone else around them was sitting down with no expressions whatsoever.
SYNOPSIS:
"rock star:" so we were doing bible study the other day-
crowd: (wildly screaming)
rock star: and we were in the book of 2nd Corinthians-
crowd: AHHHHH! thats OUR FAVORITE BOOK!
rock star: yeah, so we wrote this song about it
crowd: AHHHHH THIS BEATS SACRAMENT!!!!
i did notice that a lot of the songs about jesus could pass as normal love songs abotu a girl. all the lyrics are really generic towards the beginning and then they throw in the savior thing as a surprise at the end:
"im so drawn to you....i cant turn away from you....i love you so much...ill do anything for you........JESUS!"
i think they do this on purpose.
the people there were pretty much all nice, cept one kind christian threw a quarter at my head when the lights went down. they didnt tip me very well because they were putting all their money into the collection buckets.
i made friends with the pizza girls and got free pizza at the end of the night. and soda. it was sweet. i made somewhere around 100 bucks today. all of which im sure ill use to fill up my tank tomorrow. DANG!
HEALTH UPDATE: my jaw is not right. i dont know what to do.
