After these past couple days I can honestly say that some moments are perfect. But first, let us start from the begining...
I went home (pittsburgh) so all of last week, or the 30th until the 5th. What an interesting time. I wish I could say it was all fun and I've never had a better time coming home, because I can't. Regardless, it was so good to see Mom, Dad, and Brendan. I learned a lot about growing up by coming home and being in an old situation. I love my Mom and I'm so glad we ended up talking about all the feelings that came up when I came home after being gone for too long once again.
The 5th to the 8th we all took a trip to Telford to stay at my Aunt and Uncle's so we could get to the Bergey reunion. I have to say the highlight of that weekend was not seeing the relatives that I never see, but seeing Tim, Tom, Jeff Campbell, Scotty, Chris, and Amy. I wish I could have seen more people, but this was perfect in itself. Standing in that church basement just talking and joking with the guys made me feel right at home. I realized then and there that the cliche "home" is and has always been in the friends and family that I am so lucky and fortunate to have! I truly am blessed.
The 8th I drove straight "home" to Harrisonburg, VA. After throwing a load of wash in and relaxing for like 2.3 seconds, Michael (my wonderful boyfriend) came over to see me! So Monday was spent roaming around Harrisonburg, seeing the roomie(i missed you joy!!!), watching movies, and spending time with Michael . The next day Michael and I packed up my car and headed off for Warped Tour in VA beach...4 and 1/2 hours away.
What an insane two days we spent together. We left Harrisonburg at aabout 7 am and spent the rest of the morning driving in pouring rain and fog, catching up, and listening to music. Warped Tour was an experience. I think after this year I'm pretty much done with it, the hype has definately worn off. Buuuut seeing a handful of great bands with Michael while we were soaked through by the all day downpour was crazy. We both wanted to see Fall Out Boy, so we stayed until they went on....at 8:40! Ugh, what a long day, but Fall Out Boy was so worth it! Anywho, since I was swerving all over the road on the way home, we ended up stopping for the night somewhere near Williamsburg and found our way back to Harrisonburg at around 1 yesterday afternoon. Stopping in to shower and such, we took off again to visit Michael's g-parents and then to church.
I'm so glad I'm back here. Never though I'd say that in my life, lol. I can't wait for tonight, the girls and I are having an apartment night since we're all finally back in the same place! imagine that! I'm looking forward to a night spent catching up and hanging out, followed by a night of solid sleep on Mike Miller's comfortable bed (thanks mike!). So now that I've practically bored you with the mundane of my past week and a little. Be on your way, and have a beautiful day!
Love,
D.
.Sunday morning rain is falling
Steal some covers share some skin
Clouds are shrouding us in moments unforgettable
You twist to fit the mold that I am in.
