I've been told that if I write in this journal that everybody who lives here will be able to see it in theirs. I’m not sure how that works, but I suppose there have been too many strange things that have happened to me lately for me to need to question one more thing.

Considering that there is so much uncertainty in this place already, I didn't want to add to it.

Long enough to find a job and have to work for a living. I'm no expert on this place, though.

What sort of work do you do? I've seen the job listings, but I'm not sure which career avenue to pursue.

Me? I work at the organic food stall, mainly for the employee discount. I gather that I may have been a copper before I arrived here, though.

How do you know that? Did you get a memory?

I don't know it for certainty, but it fits with what I dreamed, and there's a man here--Commander Stoneface, of the sphere Watch. We're from the same place, and evidence indicated I was one of his men. Speaking figuratively.

So you have experience as an officer of some sort.

How do you know if someone is from the same place as you? Did you see them in your dream?

Not unless he's changed a lot since he was a lad. But we saw some of the same things--one of the same people. I don't trust coincidence.

I think that's a wise approach to take. Coincidences can't be purely coincidental in this place, I imagine.
