Well, we have finished painting our bedroom - have some touch-ups to do tonight. Adam replaced all the electrical outlets and light switches yesterday. My thighs are sore from all the squatting action while painting. Hopefully next Tuesday the carpet will be installed in the bedrooms, followed on Thursday by the wood flooring. Once that is done, we will paint the livingroom and install the last of the carpet. Then our house can go back to normal... It's been a hectic three months.
I'll have before and after pictures, tons of them.
We're going to take some deserved time off from home improvements for a while, build the savings back up. By the end of the year, we plan on tackling our den and pantry. The den has wallpaper to take down but, other than that, those two just need fresh paint. We also hope to have a new refrigerator and stove in the kitchen and spruce up our cabinets in October. Then install the wood flooring in there. We're going to hold off on new countertops and backsplash till next year. Other than that, not much is going on.
Adam's grandma fell out of bed a few weeks ago and cracked the ball in her shoulder. We found out yesterday that she's developed a blood clot in her shoulder as a result of the fall. So, it's going to be stressful for a while... They've got her on meds to thin her blood and to help her body absorb the clot. Blood clots are very dangerous. We're all going to be keeping an eye on her.
Adam's parents decided two weeks ago to move her into their downstairs, it has it's own kitchen and a handicap accessible shower, so it's a good setup for her. Hopefully it will help Mary, Adam's mom, with the stress that her being on her own has caused this month.
We're trying to get rid of things we don't use or haven't used in a long time. Put some on Craigslist and some on eBay... Made $20 from Craiglist so far. The auctions add up to $46 right now and they've got 2-4 days left. I really wasn't expecting some of it to sell, so this is a nice surprise.
One thing that hasn't sold, which surprises me, is the Dior-inspired Gaucho Saddle handbag. I bought it for $58 and have only used it a few times - it has way too much space for me. I'd like to get $20 out of it, and shipping is $10 (it weighs almost 2lbs), so - if you're interested - $30 and it's yours. We'd use PayPal so it's safe for both of us. And, it'd ship via USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation. Here's a picture --

Well, got an hour and a half left at work... Then it's home to make supper. Probably going to make Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Casserole for tonight and make Chicken Alfredo ahead for tomorrow. When the house is back to normal, I'm going to be making lasagna like crazy. Adam's parents have been wanting some of my infamous lasagna - and my dad wants some for supper too when he comes to see the finished results.
