Thank you to everybody for the congratulations! I don't particularly know what I will be doing yet. I just know I'm going to work for a government contractor, a really big one with several locations in the country. I start tomorrow. I'm a little nervous but since I don't really know what to expect, I can only be but so nervous. But I have my dress suit and my little lunch box and I guess I'm ready to go. So long, childhood! Bye bye, student life!
I'm going to keep my part time job at the YMCA working nights, for now. I have two jobs! Take that economic recession!
I've done a lot to prepare for tomorrow. And by that, I mean shopping eight hours a day for professional clothes. I think I've been to every Loft in the district. So much for my last paycheck.
Well this job is only temporary. I got it through a temp agency afterall but it ends in november so that's pretty far away and buys me a little time to find something afterwards and I'll be able to network and whatnot.
It's funny how the initial excitement wore off and instead of being really relieved that I have a job finally, more than that I think, "man, I have to work from 8 to 4 everyday. I have to pack in my real life in a couple hours a day when I'll probably be too tired to do anything but crash. I'm going to be one of those people whose life is their work, I'll bet." Oh well.
So I have to get up at 6 tomorrow so I will go to bed now. I need to get out a little of my nervousness. Hopefully tomorrow will be okay.
