I have a motto, whatever is happening with you - for a reason. It might be a lesson, or a sign. nothing happens just before.
This has been a very unusual year. A total failure in terms of religion. However, a learning curve.
I think I have learned this lesson and done my homework...
However, I am grateful that I had a chance to become a hospice volunteer - something I always wanted to do. This was almost a spiritual experience, learning without set lessons and homework Learning to smile with eyes, support wit the silence, show what you feel in a handshake, learning to love and laugh and cry and feel much deeper than before, learning doctors' jokes and sweet words for families, learning to be there and do nothing but make a difference, seeing people come and go but not be sad, thinking what I would do and what I would be afraid of if I was them.
This has been a wonderful year, really. I am so happy I have done all this.
May we be sealed for a sweet good year and learn how to be sweeter and better without major tragedies involved.
Leah.
