falling and farewell

No post yesterday since I was busy saying goodbye a couple of very good friends who should be back in Manila just about now.

???/365 -- Those who were left behind

No tears for this farewell. But plenty of good memories :)

I've realized though I love taking landscape photos, I've ended up taking the same shots again and again. So I'm giving portrait a shot. Well, soon as I can get my hands on an 85mm f/1.8 lens anyway.

Much as I want to post my scanned Lomo photos, the shop were I got the film processed are made of epic!phail and screwed up the scanning (they scanned the actual prints o.O and did a lousy job of it). So, for now, this is all I can post.

???/365 -- Falling down the rabbit hole ...

or crossing (the bridge) to infinity.

Taken at a small island in Izu Shimoda a few hours after the tsunami warning from the earthquake in Chile was called off. It started out as a pretty scary day (we stayed at a pension near the beach, we could hear the siren for the tsunami warning going off in the morning). We didn't get to take pictures of the beach other than a couple of snapshots in the rain, and almost all business and services were shutdown including the trains to and from Tokyo (and nobody at the train station speaks English T_T so I took a photo of the sign by the ticket gate with my phone and sent it to a couple friends to translate). But it turned out quite nice in the late afternoon (rain finally stopped) and the tsunami wasn't as strong as expected. Not something I had in my list of things to do while in Japan, but it's certainly unforgettable!

oh snap project, lomography
