???/365 -- still doing Project 365 except I'm 7398479234875 light years behind uploading photos. But not to worry, times like this there's always good advice from 'The Book'. And on this day in 1978 "BBC Radio 4 transmitted the first episode of English author and dramatist Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (
from wiki).
Pictured is the latest in the H2G2* written by Eoin Colfer. I love Eoin Colfer (Artemis Fowl, 11 year old evil genius, what's not to love?), and I have both his books and Douglas Adams' up on my top ten list of favorite novels. But though this book does have a few laughs in it, I'd still have to say an H2G2 book (or H2G2 anything) without Douglas Adams is not H2G2. Nice try though.
* a trilogy in six parts
And, of course, this love for H2G2 is all thanks to Ilian who introduced me to Douglas Adams (and to Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman and comics in general and the ensuing state of being perpetually broke from collecting said comics). Nevertheless, his recs are always welcome :D
P.S. Apologies for the fail!doodle. As always, I suck at anything involving drawing.
P.P.S. Why hallo thar eljay, it's been a while hasn't it?
