Moving day!
This account is now being syndicated by LJ (add to your LJ flist | get the raw feed here, if you want to add it to your feed reader rather than your flist), so I won't have to double-post stuff all the time. Now I just have to get the LJ flist to add my syndicated feed to their flist.

And an announcement, to all you folks on the flist who are on LJ and haven't moved for one reason or another:
If you've ever thought of moving and haven't been too sure of the time, now just might be the time. On top of their other debacles, LJ has been sold to the company that runs and maintains the Russian-language version of LJ. While this may or may not mean a ginormous clampdown on free speech, adult content, what have you...you might want to move before this new outfit does another mass purge. I think this period of quiet is just the calm before the storm.
And guess what? Not only are permanent accounts over at InsaneJournal a mere USD$40 (or CDN$41, or 28 Euros), they're available until March 1 2008. At which time they'll go into retirement. So get them now, while they're still pretty affordable. Come on, people, that's just two weeks' worth of venti mochas for a permanent account, 500 user pics, and a less draconian community. There's a fandom event, Ides of March, coming up soon. Think of it as another challenge activity, as well as a way to announce yourself. (Loosely affiliated with Bring Back the Porn, though not run by the exact same folks. I think.)
And did I mention that InsaneJournal has added several new servers in the past month, to keep up with the influx? And they -=don't=- have "flagging"? And that they're a DMCA safe harbour?

So go reserve your username, get your permanent account, et voila. If you're nice, I'll even tell you how to set up a syndicated feed on LJ to mirror your IJ content, so the stay-behinds don't completely lose touch.
