Okay, this is more for myself than for anyone reading, but I'd like to write down what I'm thinking about HP before I get my book tomorrow.
Also, I'll make a giant post later, as life in the last month has been nutters! Between work and other stuff, things have been busy. Johnathan's traveling to a conference next week to speak, so I'll have a bit of time in the evenings to post, perhaps.
On to Harry Potter.
Like I said, I just want to get a few things down, and see whether I was even close. I'm usually no good at predicting this stuff, but I thought it'd be fun :). I guess they're not all predictions, more just what I'd like to see :).
- Maybe Harry himself is a horcrux...well, not Harry, but maybe his scar is. That could explain why Harry and Voldemort have such a weird connection. Maaaaybe Harry has to somehow destroy the scar, or if Voldemort is destroyed, the scar somehow gets wiped off his forehead, and he goes on to live a normal life where people stop recognizing him.
- I think Snape isn't the evil-doer that we're lead to believe. Maybe he's such a fantastic Occlumens that even Voldemort doesn't know that he's on the good side. Maybe Snape told Dumbledore about the oath he made once he made it, and Dumbledore was prepared for the fact that Snape was likely going to kill him. Or maybe I'm just so sad about Dumbledore's death from last book that I want it to have had a point :P.
- I also think Snape will die somehow, perhaps because of the unbreakable vow he took.
- It would be a very interesting mirroring thing to see Draco's mother die to save his life, but I didn't think of that one, I heard someone else at work talk about it.
- I really would like to see Neville kill Bellatrix Lestrange. That would just be satisfying :).
- I'd like to see Ron and Hermione get together (like everyone else), and of course, Harry and Ginny.
- I wonder whether the Divination teacher (why can't I remember her name?) will bite it because she's the one who made the infamous prophesy. Snape knows that it was her, so he might go back to Voldythingy, who might kill her.
- I would LOVE to see Draco's dad killed by V, just because he's so vile, but useless for the cause at the same time.
K, I can't think of any more. My book comes directly to my house tomorrow, and then I plan to read all afternoon. Until I'm done, no media interaction :).
