Cruisin'...
12 hours from now, we'll be lining up to get on the plane, to fly us down to Tampa. 24 hours from now, we'll likely be settling down in our hotel room for the night. This time 48 hours from now, we'll be settling down for the night in our cabin...maybe. Or maybe we'll be partying. Either way, we'll be on the ship! We officially board the ship between 2 and 3 on Saturday, and we sail out of Tampa at about 5:00.
I'm excited, I'm nervous (I don't like to fly), I'm a little anxious about leaving the house by itself (thank you, break-in). But overall, I'm looking forward to the trip.
Work was odd today. Knowing that I had worked until 8:30 last night, at about 3:00 my boss asked me if there was anything he could help me with to make sure I left at a good time today. Eh? At 4:15, he said "Why are you worrying about GL codes for the invoices? We'll take care of that next week!". I said "Um, Johnathan won't be here until around 5:30, he's not leaving work early, I need to work on SOMETHING, no?" "...Oh...right...okay". Huh? Why's he being so nice? All day everyone was saying "What are we going to do without you for the week?" "Jerome is going to be in such a bad mood next week, because he won't have you to keep him organized!" "It's going to be so quiet and weird without you here". Today was "Make Amy Feel Fantastic" day. Are they all sensing that I'm planning on quitting soon? Something in the water today? I dunno.
This entry feels so random. I'm tired, but I still have to finish packing my carry-on. Not too much left to go in, and I can't pack some stuff until tomorrow anyway because I need it tomorrow morning. I just feel like I need to be doing something. So, I think I'll go choose a couple of books, grab the last of the stuff I don't need tomorrow morning, and then go to bed. Tomorrow is an early morning!
