Oh my, now, the great Sherlock Holmes was one of my very first literary crushes, way back in the day when I used to carry around a red leather bound edition of his exploits - all butterfly-wing thin paper and tiny cramped print, it smelt like tobacco and old dusty libraries, and thudded shut most satisfactorily with a lovely dull thud (like a heavy

Also, it seems pertinent to mention that I would be eternally grateful to anyone who can find me a copy of this here Baskervilles adaptation, for obvious reasons.

If they do another bloody Baskerville adaptation maybe he could play Jack Stapleton?
Throwing names around... for Watson or Holmes: Tom Ward? Robert Carlisle? James McAvoy? JJ Feild?
And yes! That version must be found and devoured! Speaking of devoured... what did you think of 'Planet of the Dead'?

Tom Ward is superb Watson material, but I struggle to think of a Holmes that would suit him. Robbie Coltrane's all I've got for moment, and that's unlikely at best.
Planet of the Dead improved mightily on its second viewing but, much like the Easter eggs it featured, seemed to be all outer shell with nothing much inside. Tennant did his best with the material on offer and Michelle Ryan was of course lovely, but I've seen much better.

NOTE:*I AM NOT SERIOUS*
Okay, let's agree on Clive Owen as Holmes, and I agree that Robson (upon-)Green onscreen at the same time would make the screen explode so... Jack Davenport, while sweet, is always going to have too many comic connotations for me, but it could work.
Y'know, there was a lot of speculation about Watson being a woman... we could spread the casting net out to include Rachael Weisz/Susannah Harker/lol...Billie Piper.
Or my favourite pairing of all (and I can copy/paste them into anything: Tom Ward as Holmes and Emilia Fox as Watson. DONE AND DONE. *dusts off hands*
p.s. WTF? GILLIAN ANDERSON IN DOCTOR WHO, WHAAAAT? YES! YES! YES ( ... )

Oh, yeah, also - I've done no Honours work either = surprising news is surprising!
Alright, Robson/Michelle! *fistpump* I reckon Clive could do Moriarty - hell, if it's good enough for Vincent D'O, it's good enough for anyone! And he was pretty dark and broody in Sin City anyway, I think he'd be a great bad guy - he has the craggy face for it anyway. Ohohoh! Could Jackei Earle Haley be Moriarty? And Holmes? And Watson?
Gillian did an...okay, yeah, just an okay accent in Bleak House - I think I was too busy being entranced by her black-locked Goth queen styling to pay too much attention to her voice anyway. She could always wear 10 inch vinyl heels and bring her outrageous costumes into the new century though, hmmm ( ... )

I must say I have enjoyed watching your progress from Forbes-hate to love. It's because she's stalking us through everything we watch, isn't it?

And did I hate Michelle Forbes at some point? Oh the shame! Did I hate her but still think she was totally foxy? I'm sure I did. *Those cheekbones. Unf.* Ohhh - did I hate her in Battlestar because she was beating on my then girlcrush Starbusk before she became Suckbuck?
And yes! She's totally is videostalking us, isn't she?! Now I know how JEH must feel... if he, y'know, knew that I existed.

Forbes: I think you must've have dislike her, for the aforementioned reasons, and then she appeared in Prison Break, which you were not in favour of. Obviously you were living in denial, we know that now?
(Have you seen Razor yet?)
