So I was telling my mom about the way Oskar and Eli communicate, and I asked if it was a known method of communication similar to morse code or something. She said not that she knew of. oskar was copying it from a book, though, and of course that could have been just for the film, I don't know.

Has anyone seen this anywhere before? I think I remember seeing it somewhere very very vaguely.
