Annoucment: BrazenHead Imprint from Leth Press

Dec 13, 2010 20:14

BrazenHead, an experimental imprint of Lethe Press curated by writer/editor/designer Alex Jeffers, will publish, on an occasional basis, exceptional novellas of speculative fiction with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and/or transgender (GLBT) themes.

Definition of terms:

Novellas-works of narrative prose fiction longer than short stories but shorter than novels. For BrazenHead's purposes, 30 - 60,000 words.

Speculative Fiction-science fiction, fantasy, supernatural horror, all the myriad subgenres.

GLBT themes-stories and characters of particular (not, one hopes, exclusive) interest to GLBT readers. That said, we're not particularly looking for spec-fic stories about minority sexualities/orientations any more than your typical F&SF or Strange Horizons story is about heterosexuality.

Alex Jeffers will begin reading submissions in January 2011. For full guidelines, e-mail brazenhead@sentenceandparagraph.com
