Even though I technically have lived in ABQ longer than Houston, I still feel like Houston is my home.
Simple things like the greenness everywhere ................ and the fact that for all that is holy I cannot find a Mexican peasant dress anywhere in this town. From San Antonio to the border the darn things are everywhere but not here. I guess it is because ABQ is full of "Spaniards" not Mexicans.
I miss my own culture. The Chicano I grew up with is a very different thing that what exists in New Mexico.
