So my car is a piece of shit
My brakes have been worrying me lately so I decided to make an appointment to get them fixed. I brought the car to the dealership a couple of weeks ago and they told me:
1 - FRONT BREAK PADS NEED TO BE REPLACED
2 - FRONT ROTORS MACHINED
3 - REAR SHOES NEED TO BE CLEANED AND ADJUSTED
None of this, of course, is covered under my warranty and would cost approximately $260.
What was covered under my warranty:
1 - WIRING REPAIR AT DOME LAMP CONNECTOR
2 - BURNT COIL COVER REPLACEMENT
3 - UPDATED PCM
After talking to a co-worker of mine, I came to find that I could have all of the above problems not covered in my warranty fixed at her parents' automotive shop for around $150. Obviously, I made an appointment, for today at 11 am. On my way up the highway to this appointment all of the lights on my console magically illuminated, and my speedometer dropped down to zero, causing me to have to pull off the road. I pull over, stop, park, and turn my car off. When I attempt to restart my car it does not start. I call the dealership, they treat me like a moron, and imply that *I* may have to pay for the repairs and the towing for the piece of shit car they sold me. My mother drives me to the dealership, I talk to the service department manager and am informed that I will receive a call about what is going on within the hour....this was nearly 2 hours ago.
Also, after purchasing a car history report on my car on carfax.com, I came across some interesting information. Apparently the salesman, who told me the car had only had one previous owner (someone who works at the dealership, no less), lied to me. I am the third owner of the car, and apparently it was originally registered at a rental car company in Virginia! I called my uncle, who happens to be the co-signer on the car, and informed him of all the shit that is going wrong as of now. He is supposed to be talking to the salesman at 2:30 this afternoon, and hopefully he will rip him a new asshole. Fucker.
