First thing you should know about Croix is that he has amnesia. The only he had on him was his name. He took up demon hunting as a job because he thought that it might help him recover parts of his memory. Croix worked for the church of the divine mother and he's extremely business oriented. When he met Prier for the first time he wanted to keep a high percentage of the reward. Outwardly Croix is a cheerful person. Despite that he is a bit troubled by his missing past. He doesn't actually look it but Croix is surprisingly open. He can freely talk about his problems to other people. On the contrary he hates whining and acting selfish in front of people he cares about. For the most part he's reliable and responsible. He can uphold his duties as a demon hunter flawlessly and people can depend on him. Croix doesn't mind sharing his experiences to help other people. However, sometimes he can be a bit rude and inconsiderate. He was asked to meet with the Queen of Paprica but he was being disrespectful since he saw himself as an outsider. He knows when he's out of place so he tends to put a lot of weight on small details like that.
If the situation arises, Croix can be completely ruthless. It's pretty much impossible to get through to him once he's made up his mind on something.Also he can be a bit of a jerk. He always made fun of Prier for getting so angry all the time.He’s capable of apologizing for his mistakes and he’s very mature. He rarely gets angry.

Croix decided to follow Prier because she looked like a girl from his past. His adventures eventually take him to the Couscous Village and he discovered the truth about his identity. In the kingdom of Paprica there was a legend about a Dark Prince and a maiden of light. The Dark prince was him. Croix's history goes back 2 years ago. He was having an affair with a woman named Angelique. However, she was a servant of a goddess and the villagers treated it like hearsay. In they end they killed Angelique and that was what caused darkness to grow inside of Croix. He holds a deep hatred for humanity and that’s what made him legible for the role of the Dark Prince. However, the legend still follows through here and the maiden of light intervened with his plan to destroy humanity. Alouette was the one who wiped Croix’s memory in an attempt to save the world.
