I think its impressive. Why would someone be vain? What is the point of concerning yourself with looks when you are about to be snipered from 200 meters away.

I think Deidara was pretty high on the narcissim part... I know he dyes his hair, he just has to.

That is certainly a different angle to look at it. I like to think it means you're more interested in what a person is like on the inside rather on the outside.

Well, there's basic hygiene of course, for the benefit of yourself and others. Then there's wanting to look appealing to others so you can make friends. Then there's wanting to look good to attract someone. On a basic level, you should want to look good for yourself. Are you happy with your appearance? You do have the Uchiha good looks after all.

I have not thought about my appearance. It has been a null issue.

Being here means you can do things like this. It won't mean you're vain either. You can change your appearance for fun, like dying your hair NOT BLOND.

For fun? Why would people want to do that? I understand why changing your appearance is useful when under suspicion but for fun? So I should cut all my hair off?

Er that sounds a bit drastic! You could get it restyled if you like. Deidara is probably a good person to talk to about this sort of thing. It's just fun because, er. It's fun to do new things? And surprise people with the change?
