I forward dated, because I tend to make some post public and then the friends only thingie goes away. >> Like the last one I had did. So no matter how many public posts I make, this'll be the first thing seen until 2010. XD

No, see, if you backdate it, it goes directly by the date you give it. As in, on your main journal page, it will still be there. But it also doesn't show up on your friends' flists. I know I'm not making sense, but when you post, there's a little checkbox that says "Backdate", and you check that. But you knew all of this already.
