I think it's a pretty hilarious to be listening to radio from England, via the internet, whilst sitting in a biblio in Dawson City. See, if i try to listen to more geographically apt on-line radio, i feel all confused and strange because it doesn't really apply, but it seems like it almost should...but with radio from London, it obviously has nothing to do with me, so i feel pretty okay....except that XFM has been playing some pretty bad emo music these days...which never would've happened back in 'the day' when i lived there...if they don't watch their step, that empire they have is gonna slide right out from under them. like a table cloth. or a lemur.
so people are coming here now...vague aquaintances, friends, strangers and assorted nemeses...and i think
"hey, ya, people...they're a fun time" but then i remember that they're not, mostly, and that even if they are i still probably don't like them, and then i fold my arms indignantly and hum a few bars from Loverboy's seminal 1980 hit "Turn Me Loose".
Now i shall fritter away my day making assorted new signs for the library, most of which will have nothing to do with library business and one of which will feature Bill Cosby telling people to take off their shoes before they enter. I think he'll get the job done. Certainly can't do a worse job than the clip art boot on the current poster. Thanks for being as intimidating as a Bright Eyes fan, clip art boot.
Have you guys ever used the programme Picture It!? F'ing great hey? Who needs Final Cut Pro or a mac with shit like this?
