'What would you do for me, cariad?' I asked Ieuan casually. The early morning light touched his unlined features gently, like a caress. I thought about my own, time-ravaged face, and frowned slightly.
'What wouldn't I do for you?' Ieuan replied, running one long finger down the centre of my bare chest. 'What's the matter, love? You look unhappy,' he said, his frown mirroring the one I felt.
'Would you kill for me?' I asked casually -- perhaps too casually.
'For you, or over you? The latter seems far more likely at this juncture,' Ieuan replied with equal aplomb.
He always know how to make me laugh, Ieuan does.
