[Gasp.] Maybe this is a sign of what's to come?! Could this be a signal to go on a quest to collect all the primary colors of the rainbow and bring peace to Somarium? Like, I've already thought of three reasons why ( Read more... )

There's rainbow wizards? Really? [Lloyd hasn't heard about this!] Maybe the platypus belongs to them!

...um... what is a platypus?

I dunno if they really exist, but anything's possible in a world of dreams, right?

[Well now, this was going to get interesting.]

A platypus is a really cool animal! It's this little brown thing that has a beaver's body and tail, a duck's head, and four webbed feet like a swan's!

[Lloyd grins at her description, which, honestly, sounds as fanciful as a rainbow wizard, but hey, he'll go with it, too! Like Minami said, anything's possible!]

Wow. I've never seen an animal like that. I wonder why it's all mixed up like that. Do you think maybe a duck and a swan had a kid, then it married a beaver and they had a kid?

[Yeah, someone hadn't been paying attention in school when the subject of cross-species breeding came up.]

When I was little, I heard this one story where a rat wished to have all those things, and ended up looking like what it does now because a goddess granted those wishes.

[She grins.]

Also, if you see one, watch out! Platypuses can have poisonous claws.

Huh. I wonder if that makes the rat lucky, or if he regretted it after he got what he wanted.

[His eyes widen slightly.] That's good to know. Poison isn't very easy to cure, especially if you don't have a healer.

Oh, well, even if you do get poisoned, I have a spell that can heal it right up~ But that'd be a moot point if I'm too far away, huh?

Really? That's great! I didn't know you could heal, Minami!

I can do all sorts of things with my Personas! I can use, like, six different elements of spells, too.

Wow. That's so cool! Which elements can you use?

Let's see... Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Darkness, and Light! I usually use the first four more often, though~

What about Water and Earth? Can you use them at all? [Lloyd assumes the elements are the same between both their worlds.]

Ummm... No? I don't think our world even has those kind of spells... Well, for Water, maybe I could try combining Ice and Fire...?

No Earth? [Even though he's not a magic user himself, that just seems so bizarre.

On the other hand, he's not one to dwell on things like that for very long.]

If you could use Ice and Fire together, maybe you could freeze and burn things at the same time! You could call your spell Frozen Fire!
