If any of you have been watching the news recently, you're sure to have heard the lastest buzz. Yet again, Grand Theft Auto is at the center of controversy. Parents are outraged at Grand Theft Auto's creators, Rockstar games, for an alleged "sex scene" embedded in the latest installment (GTA:San Andreas). Known as "hot coffee" this scene is shown after entering a long sting of codes and then being invited in for "coffee" by your girlfriend.
Parents are extremely pissed that Rockstar would put a sexual minigame in a game that their children could see. First off, the game was rated M for MATURE. Meaning, the game should only be viewed by people over 17 years of age. (It's now rated AO for Adults Only because of all this media bullshit.) It says right on the box, Blood and Gore, Intesnse Violence, Strong Language, Strong SEXUAL CONTENT, & Use of Drugs. Hey Parents! READ THE BOX BEFORE YOU LET YOUR SWEET INNOCENT CHILD PLAY A GAME. I mean, if you're so worried about sexual content to take the time to cause a national ban, you can take thirty seconds to read that this game has STONG SEXUAL CONTENT and realize your seven year old should not be playing it.
Secondly, the "Hot Coffee" sex scene can only be seen by using an Action Replay Max Cheat Device and entering an extremely large amount of code to activate it, then even more time to advance in the game enough to be invited in. Meaning, If sweet little timmy has seen this scene, it's because HE WANTED TO SEE IT. The scene is ONLY shown by purposefully activating a code. This scene absolutely COULD NOT be seen by sheer accident. I guess Timmy's not so sweet, huh Parent?
Try doing this thing called PARENTING if you don't want your child seeing this very uneasily obtainable sex scene. Don't let your kids play games they're not old or mature enough to play. Monitor that shit. Look at the ratings, It'll take less than half a minute and you can then decide if your child should be playing it or not. Don't just ignore it then freak out when your little child sees something you didn't want them to. The entire problem is simply parenting, Rockstar should be able to put whatever they want to put into the game, parents should stop the kids from seeing something bad. Anyone who thinks that it's Rockstar's fault for put this scene in the game is a complete and total IDIOT and most likely, a bad parent. If a kid saw it, They wanted to. It's not Rockstars fault that the kid spent hours inserting code and getting along in the game to see the scene. The parent should have stopped them if they didn't want it to happen.
edit:
another thing, some kid shot three cops because "you can do it in grand theft auto, so it must be ok to do it in real life" Yeah. that makes sense. Because i can do something in a fantasy world, i can for real. "yeah dude, i just played the new superman game, and now i have super-human powers!" The sad thing is, that people can't accept that the child is a fuck up and believe his bullshit story that video games made him do it.
Just another example of how stupid people are.
People are fucking stupid.
I'm sick and tired of it.
