Midwinter -
Friday-we had a fun drive up with a five car caravan and four walkie talkies. A lot of talk about Mindy's lucky underwear. Rock Bottom for dinner. Mmmm, they have good beer. Only lasted about an hour and a half at game because I only got about 10 hours of sleep from Wednesday to Friday. Plus, the Tremere meeting was booooorrrrrinnngggg.....(sorry JW and Toad)
Saturday-said goodbye to Nick (tried not to cry - I'm going to miss him). Attempted to have lunch/dinner at the Safe House (spy themed restaurant) - but we were too early for the dinner hour. It was still cool, especially the tasty drink I had called "Spy's Demise." You cannot go wrong with a drink that has more alcohol than a Long Island Ice Tea and taste like Cherry 7-up. Actual food at the Rock Bottom (where everything is tasty). Actually made it through an entire night of game. Broke Antonio Salerno (hee hee!). (I was playing a Brujah). Stayed awake for the after party too. Had some beers.
It was good to see all my friends and generally cool people from Springfield, Edwardsville and Carbondale - JW, D-rail, Jerry, Bob, Harveen, Jaime, Toad, Nate-the battle jew, Dave, Randy, Nick, Jenn, Denis, Rafe, Jahr, Puddin', Mindy, Ryan (who doesn't game, but is cool and was making a documentary), John Irvin, and Nate the Nos). Special thanks to Ann for helping me break Antonio. It was good to meet Missouri Dan (although I have met him before and just didn't know it?) and Cinda. If I left anyone out, many apologies.
Sunday - home to C'dale. We stopped at a sushi restaurant in O'Fallon, IL. It is the first time I've had sushi. I didn't get sick. It actually wasn't too bad. Definitely going to take some getting used to.
Also, an important note for those of you who have heard of me from Robert, I do exist!
