OW! HELP! Advice, please????????????? :(

My teeth hurt! I HATE WISDOM TEETH! If evolution was really happening with us humans, why are they still here? Like 75% of people need them taken out anyway. ARGH.... *slaps Darwin angrily with her ice pack*

What is everyone else's experiences with your wisdom teeth?
Do you have them in still?
If not, when were they extracted?
Was your dentist difficult about giving you a refill on a pain presciprtion while you waited for your surgery date?
Did you go for the gas, or did you go to sleep?

Joshua, the most amazing man on the face of the earth, took one of his last personal days (he took a week's worth when his Grandmother died in October... that was really horrible/sad to watch....) to go to the Dentist's office with me.

After filling out my life story, and signing away my soul they make us watch a video on how I could basically die from having impacted teeth extracted. Yeah.... ummmm OK, I'm terrified. *rolls eyes* I don't think it had the desired effect. After spending almost a month on the couch with an ice pack permanently affixed to the side of my face, I could care less about my sense of smell... my goal - make the pain stop so I can go back to making out.. and... more? ;) haha, with the love of my life without:

a. tasting blood
b. wanting to scream in agony
c. crying

Anyway, the dentist before this one was like, "Wow.... if you don't go and get these removed right away you are going to be in massive amounts of pain." To which i replied, quite casually, "MM-Hmm... I'll do that... yeah." (All while examining my manicure... or lack of one, haha)  He went on about how my teeth were actually beginning to crack... blah blah... my jaw had a crack along it from the pressure... yadda yadda yadda... and that soon it would be unbearable.

Did I make an appointment?

Nope.

I bought wedding dresses!!!!

(another long story. There are five wedding gowns in my home right now. But hey, one of them IS the one! I promise... hehe)

So, Joshua went with me..... I'm in agony. I even bought my trusty ice pack INSIDE the office with me.

Joshua told the dentist I had been on the couch for weeks in agony, etc. And then he pulled out his pill bottle from when he had HIS teeth extracted at the same place last year. He told them that he had had two (I think he said two? It was more like four.. but whatever) Vicodin left, and that he gave them to me on Christmas Eve so I could go to his parents for Christmas, and see my family as well.

The doctor goes over my X-Rays with me.. and Joshua of course (I love this man! I had no idea it could be like THIS!) and showed us basuically how fucked my mouth was. So he is going to extract three wisdom teeth (both bottoms, one the top left_ and on the top right he will extract a tooth that broke (sucks) and hopefully the wisdom tooth on that side will slide into its spot? Or something.

THEN, YAY!

35 Vicodin Extra-Strength
Amoxicillian (spelling? It is to kill infection.)
20 Extra Stretch Motrin... 600MG I think?

The bottle on the vicodin says One pilll every4 hours/Maximum: 5 per say. Well, we went on Thursday, and I have like 15 left. But It isn't like I'm getting happy on them at all.. to the contrary actually, i get really, really tired. I hate it. I slept ALL day today :( (Joshua has Saturday's & Sunday's off from work)

Do you think the dentist will be upset when I call on Monday and say i need more? My surgery date for the extraction isn't until January 8'th.

He WILL give memore pain killers though, right? Because I can handle pain. I get really horrific cramps, like REALLY bad... but I cannot handle my head hurting. And at first it was just my teeth hurting... but now it is my lower jaw on both sides, my teeth (3 of them in particular have a LOT of pressure on them from it being so tight in my mouth, it hurts so bad!!) my head, my left ear feels like it has been punched 5 or 6 times & the left side of  my neck.
