I don't in particular like new years resolutions. I figure, if you want to do something, the first step is not to wait until the end of the year, and if it takes something like that, you probably aren't that strongly resolved after all. That said, I do believe strongly in to do lists. So here are some things I'd like to do in 2010. (Before the real end of the decade).
In no order:
sew a lot more
get a job
volunteer in my community
spend more time with my Dad
grow food in my garden
go to more SCA events
exercise more.. make and achieve health goals
improve my typing
cook delicious food
spend time exploring the hinterlands
go visit Kati in Nebraska
read at least a book a month from the big odd collection at my house
organize and deal with the many boxes or papers from my Dad's storage unit.
finish projects, or at least more of them
get better at housework
take more photos and document my life a bit more
in that vein, be less secretive about what I really think and how I really feel
learn new things
get better at budgets and know what is going on with my money
wear more skirts and dresses (and stockings and boots)
write a book
put a little more energy into listening to good music that I like
continue and improve my efforts to be a paragon of honor
take better care of my fingernails
be a fantastic cat owner
be better about keeping in touch with my friends and spending time with people I enjoy
be lucky and successful in love
Well.. that's a start anyway. We will see how it goes.
